CCFU is at #COP27, the UN conference on climate change

The UN COP27 climate talks, are now under way in Egypt. We are delighted to be in attendance, to bring the Ugandan voice to the conference.

Our own Simon Musasizi, the Heritage Trust Programme Manager is speaking at several events from the 11th to the 15th of November, 2022. Our focus will be on our cultural approach to mitigating the impact of climate change in Uganda, sharing experiences from our work on cultural heritage sites in the Rwenzori and WestNile regions

We are doing our bit but we need governments to do the same. Without policy, resources and clear leadership, the scale of response we need is at risk of failing. COP27 is a clear and urgent opportunity for global leaders to address the crisis and is a time for action.

Follow Simon’s journey by attending live events or on Twitter via #CultureAtCop27 and #AfricanHeritageVoicesAtCop27

We thank our partner, the International National Trusts Organisation and the Climate Heritage Network for making our physical participation possible.https://crossculturalfoundation.or.ug/ccfu/2022/11/17/ccfu-is-at-cop27/
