Open invitation to tender – construction of a retaining wall to safeguard the Wang-Lei cultural heritage site

Subject: Construction of a retaining stone wall along river Nile in Pakwach

The Cross-Cultural Foundation of Uganda (CCFU), a non-governmental organisation working to mainstream culture in development, is implementing a project aimed at mitigating the dangers of climate change on natural and cultural heritage sites in the Rwenzori and Alur sub-regions.

One of the project activities entails building a 100-metre long retaining stone wall on the bank of River Nile at Pakwach to safeguard the Wang-Lei cultural heritage site. This task will involve excavation, backfill, damp proofing, and construction using stones in gabion cages.

CCFU now invites firms with tested and proven skills to undertake this task.
